Discovery Virtual School serves student in grades Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

All students in the State of Washington are eligible to apply to Discovery Virtual School. A Choice Transfer Request must be submitted as part of the enrollment process. If this is your first time requesting a Choice Transfer, our enrollment specialists can help!

Discovery Virtual School gives grades 6–8 a structured but flexible online learning experience. Students work through lessons at their own pace, complete assignments in an intuitive platform, and connect with certified teachers for support. Families can start anytime and customize a schedule that fits their routine.

They can within each semester. Discovery Virtual School follows a traditional school-year calendar with set start dates and breaks. During each semester, students are free to work at their own pace as long as they finish their assignments by the semester’s end. This gives them flexibility day-to-day while still keeping everyone on track with the school schedule.

Most students spend four to six hours a day on coursework, depending on grade level and pace. Lessons are broken into small steps, and students can complete them at times that work best for their family.

Enrollment is simple. Families complete an interest form and work with our enrollment specialist to submit the application and Choice Transfer, as required by the state of Washington. Once the approval is received, students can begin right away.
